“Rural entrepreneurship – a premise for local development and economic growth” reads the title of a project which will be run by the Danis Foundation for Managerial Development and SC Media Partners. The project is focused on the education and training of 50 persons residing in two villages located along the Transylvania Motorway alignment, Gârbău și Zimbor, so that they can start up and run their own business.
The activities included in the project “Rural entrepreneurship – a premise for local development and economic growth” run by the Danis Foundation for Managerial Development and SC Media Partners in the villages of Gârbău from Cluj county and Zimbor from Sălaj county.
„During this project, persons who have a stable residence in Gârbău and Zimbor (approximately 25 individuals from each village) will benefit FREE OF CHARGE from training sessions where they will learn what steps to take and what documentation is required to start up a business, how to plan the main stages for business development, information related to competition, promotion, employee, clients, business opportunities, sources of funding for business development, individual consultancy for the initiation or development of their own businesses – individual working sessions to produce a viable business plan; visiting successful businesses from the rural areas”, Danis foundation reps specified.
The project is financed through the Operational Project/ Project co-financed from the European Social Fund through the Operational Program for the Development of Human Resources 2007-2013 and the activities begin in March 2010 and will run until November. The Danis Foundation has already completed similar projects, in partnership with Bechtel, the Transylvanian Motorway contractor, where villagers from Luna de Sus, Gilău, or Petreștii de Jos from Cluj county, respectively Chiribiș commune from Bihor county were trained and advised on starting up a business.
