Through the internship program, Autostrada Transilvania Project  organizes meetings, presentations, site visits, internships and training modules for students with a calling for engineering and construction. With over 250 students visiting our site in 2007, here are the figures:

Technical University Cluj-Napoca (Engineering & Roads and Bridges)

127 site visitors until March 2008 for important milestones:

• T-beam testing – first one ever performed in Cluj;
• U-beam production – first execution company with its own plant in Romania;
• Erosion control measurements for construction sites;
• Slope solution for motorway construction;
• Drilling and piling;
• New equipment fleet for Romanian market. 

4 Internships attended during 3 months – July-September 2007

• Structures & Earthworks assignments;
• Development plan for each of the 4 students;
• Various field and office tasks to be completed;
• Program to be extended in 2008 with more people and disciplines involved.

Teaming with Technical University and Student’s associations in:

• Regular project presentations and progress report meetings with students and professors;
• Possibility to apply in field the theoretical aspects of engineering;
• Job opportunities for fresh graduates.

Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca

• Over 25 site visits organized for the students majoring in Geology, Sociology, and others;
• Project presentations delivered regularly for students and professors;
• Cooperation with the Career Centre for involving fresh graduates on the project;
• Project impact study on the local communities done in cooperation with the student majoring in Sociology.

International visitors

• 43 students from Istanbul Technical University;
• 7 American Students part of an exchange program;
• 24 BEST Summer School Students – students and professors from major universities across Europe.
